Durrat Al Bahrain Project, described as ‘an Arabic Necklace’ is situated at the southern end of Bahrain. It occupies an area of 20 million square metres and comprises of six man-made Atolls, five Petal Islands and a Crescent Island.The Petals are linked to the Mainland via an arc of bridges and the Atolls are linked to the Petals via connecting bridges. Burhan International Construction Company, in joint venture with The Nass Corporation, has constructed the works for the infrastructure Phase1, Phase 2, Phase 3 and Mainland ‘A’ comprising: Road Works, Hard Landscaping, Sewage Collection and Treatment System, Portable Water System, Irrigation Water System,, Electrical Supply System ICT/Telecoms Duct System etc. the works include over 300.000 meters of pipe work of various types, and over 330,000 sq.m. of block work and asphalt paving.
